I am a writer and a mom to two boys. I do a lot of journaling — morning and night. Morning journaling is based on Morning Pages by Julia Cameron. The night journaling is focused on gratitude. I also try to walk for an hour a day. I have radically changed my diet to eat less processed food and less sugar. I have lost about 30 pounds in the last two years using this combination of healthy eating and walking. I also meditate every day for about 20 minutes or so (sometimes less as I have “shiny object” syndrome!!
If I have to write, I have to have the energy! If I want to raise my two boys well, I have to stay centered and balanced.
